Life Sentence – review

Another great book by AK Turner. I feel I should have read the first in the series first but, never mind. I enjoyed the twists and turns that Cassie Raven, mortuary assistant, suffers in her search for the truth about her parents. Most of all of course I loved the fact that our heroine’s grandmother is Polish. AK Turner, alias Anya Lipska previously wrote about a Polish sleuth – she was well steeped in Polish culture at the time being married to one of us, and sweetly she has not forgotten her Slavic influences, and Babcia here is a typical Polish fusspot, with a protective take on the truth. A very enjoyable read.
