Finally the sofa came. I am sitting on it now. I am trying to use the laptop so I can write more easily than on my phone. But I can’t connect to the internet. I don’t know why. Jacek is of course fast asleep, and I haven’t the heart, or the courage, to wake him.
Yesterday we ventured further afield. We went to the town of Andraxt which is about ten euros away by taxi. We went to see a modern art gallery. The building is beautiful
The Art, however, was underwhelming.
This was the best piece. And the first one we saw. I know no more about it.
Here are a few of some quite interesting pieces, but I have to admit it was a struggle to find them. Maybe I’m a philistine after all.
We were not in the gallery for very long. We walked to the town in search of food. We lit upon a huge restaurant – obviously the place for major events in the area. We walked in. It was empty. I channelled my dad and asked for a table for a hundred people. The waitress waved her arms expansively and said you choose. We chose a table for two on the terrace. It was delightful. The view was a of a green hill, not very far away, covered in lush green trees and flowers.
We ate a lovely paella and a tomato salad. We had a bottle of wine and some coffee. We paid the bill. Then as we were walking out we realised that she must have forgotten the wine and the coffee. But no. All included It was sooo cheap. But so delicious.
If you follow me on Instagram then you will have seen these photos before.
We got a taxi back to the hotel and there was the sofa ready and waiting.
You should have seen the receptionist’s beaming face when he later in asked if I was happy with it! Inordinately happy!
