Every cloud has a silver lining

or every tooth has a filling!

Sorry, couldn’t resist that little bit of nonsense. Today’s effort will be short and sweet. I have had toothache on and off for a few months now . Something needs to be done, and I should l not put off until tomorrow what I can do today. I know . Procrastination is the thief of time. A stitch in time saves nine.

But as the tooth settled for a while I thought no more about it. Out of sight, our of mind.

Then last week it flared up again. Badly. Excruciatingly. I actually howled with pain. I went to the dentist. She sent me to a specialist who couldn’t see me until the new year. I was in utter depair. My husband and I rang round our friends to find someone who was prepared to help. Now. We found someone. Brilliant. The pain has stopped. But I’m on antibiotics. I’m not allowed to drink, and I can’t eat because it still hurts a bit when I try.

So the good news is – I have lost weight . Hooray. Long may it last. Lets hope that pride doesn’t come before a fall.

By the way, do you recognise the photo?
